The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Tribute Show

Friday night in Columbus, Ohio at the Lifestyle Community venue was British band, ‘Brit Floyd’, ‘The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Tribute Band’. Reading the description of the band was a lot to live up to, and it didn’t disappoint. The show was something beyond any experience I had expected. I don’t know that I have ever been to a show where a crowd was so laid back, friendly, and relaxed.

As soon as the first few notes of the guitar rang out, I felt chills. It was like hearing Pink Floyd right in front of me, and I could tell everyone in the crowd felt the same thing. Starting the show with, ‘Shine on You Crazy Diamond’ it was as if everyone in the crowd had been transported in some sort of time machine to relive something that was impossible to ever bring back.

These talented musicians eerily sounded so similar to the real thing, in every single aspect of their music. From the guitar, to the perfectly blended

voices Columbus was in awe of the band from the moment they took the stage.

If the music alone wasn’t enough, the screen behind the band had something to offer every single song that was played.. The images behind were amazingly mixed with a dazzling laser light show. A well crafted and thought out process that led to a multi sensory experience.

They don’t only live up to the name, “The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Tribute Band”, they exceed that into something far more.
