Machine Announces Formation of the Ohio Machine Foundation

The Ohio Machine is pleased to announce the formation of the Ohio Machine Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the growth of lacrosse in Central Ohio.

The Ohio Machine Foundation is committed to growing the game of lacrosse through the support of programs and partnerships focused on community involvement and youth development both on and off the field.

“The formation of the Ohio Machine Foundation speaks to our commitment to growing the game of lacrosse in Ohio and our connection with the communities that have supported the team since 2012,” Machine President & General Manager John Algie said. “The Ohio Machine Foundation will allow us to expand our reach and help support others that are committed to building the sport of lacrosse in the Midwest.”

The Ohio Machine Foundation is managed by the Delaware County Foundation, which is a community based foundation, a non-profit organization that oversees permanent endowment funds set up by members of its community.

“The Delaware County Foundation is delighted to assist the Ohio Machine with their charitable foundation,” President of the Delaware County Foundation Marlene Casini said. “In addition to brining Major League Lacrosse to the area, they are also dedicated to supporting youth and leadership. We congratulate them for taking this step to give back to the community.”

The Delaware County Foundation was established in December 1995, to enhance the quality of life for county residents. It currently manages more than $9.2 million for charitable purposes. In fifteen years, the Foundation has awarded over $5.8 million in grants and scholarships.
