Jogging has Gone to the Dogs
CHA Animal Shelter Presents the 23rd Annual Dog Jog
CHA Animal Shelter will hold the 23rd annual Dog Jog event on Sunday, August 18th at Genoa Park in Columbus, Ohio. The event consists of a 5k run/walk as well as a 1 mile family fun walk. Participants can either bring their own dog to run or walk with or rent a CHA dog at the event.
Registration fees are twenty five dollars for CHA Members and past adopters, thirty dollars for pre-registered participants and thirty five dollars the day of the event. All proceeds go towards the care of the great dogs and cats at CHA Animal Shelter. Those who participate are also able to set up their own personal fundraising page through Firstgiving and the top three fundraisers receive prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for this terrific event.
Board Member and Volunteer, Katie Stenman said, “I love that the Dog Jog is one of the few events that includes my regular training partner, my dog, in the fun. CHA really goes out of their way to make this a great event for runners and walkers, whether you bring your furry friend or not! Better yet, you can always rent an adorable adoptable CHA dog to accompany you on your 3.1 mile journey and that dog might even meet your new best friend.”
