The Ohio State University announced Tuesday afternoon that university President E. Gordon Gee is retiring from the university after making offensive comments directed towards Catholics, the SEC, and others at a university meeting in December.

Gee spent six years as President which was his second stint at the University. In between his turns at Ohio State, he was the President at Brown and Vanderbilt.

Current university provost Joseph Alutto will serve as President in the interim.

Mother Nature didn’t disappoint during Friday’s second round at Muirfield Village Golf Course. Wind was a factor and intermittent rain showers kept tournament officials on their toes all day.
