Hailing from Scotland, a little bit of rain wasn’t going to stop Chvrches from putting on a show. Apparently it wasn’t going to stop the crowd from watching it either. Playing in front of their biggest headlining show ever, the sold out crowd stayed through the rain to get as much of the band as they could.
Coming out on stage, what immediately grabs your attention is Chvrches’ use of lighting. The contrast between light and dark really made their performance pop, and the LED lights syncing to the music was a nice touch as well.
But the real star of the show is the music itself. Their music immediately brought an energy to the crowd that was infectious, with everyone moving to the beat. Their sound blended beautifully, with Lauren Mayberry’s soaring vocals mixing perfectly with the beats created by Iain Cook and Martin Doherty. The meeting of electronic and pop music hooked the crowd in, with very few people looking to leave after the rain started.
Even with the rain, Chvrches still put on a great set, and its one that no one in the crowd will forget anytime soon.
