    The confirmations slowly roll in; Tiger, Phil, Rory, Rickie. Golfers that are on a first-name basis with fans of the sport from around the world have committed to the 36th annual Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Course which begins on May 31.

    Tiger Woods, the world’s No. 7 ranked player and the game’s most popular athlete, committed to the Memorial on Monday to add to an already star-studded list.

    Steve Stricker continued his streak of wins when leading after 54 holes as he collected his first PGA Memorial in Dublin, Ohio. He was very emotional after winning Jack’s tournament and receiving the handshake after his one stroke victory over Matt Kuchar and Brendt Jobe.

    On a final round Sunday that featured excellent scoring conditions, Steve Stricker was just one stroke better than Matt Kuchar and Brandt

    Jobe to win his first PGA Tour event since last July’s John Deere Classic.

    Stricker shot a 4-under-par 68 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 16-under par. Kuchar and Jobe were on the second-to-last pairing and finished the tournament at 15-under-par and both shot a 7-under 65 on Sunday.

    Third round leader Steve Stricker had a great front-nine, but had to scramble a bit on the back-nine. At the end of the day, he remained the leader at 12-under par. Jonathan Byrd is in second place at 9-under par, while Matt Kuchar and Brandt Jobe are at 8-under and looking forward to the final round.

    Despite being in the top three of the PGA Tour’s FedEX Cup, Mark Wilson is still a golfer who is playing on the tour as one of the more obscure pros. But Wilson is perfectly okay with winning tournaments with no one noticing.
