ents Pedal for Pets Event

CHA Animal Shelter will hold the Pedal for Pets event on Saturday, September 14th at CHA Animal Shelter located at 3765 Corporate Drive Columbus, Ohio 43231. The event consists of a forty mile ride beginning at 8am, a twenty mile ride beginning at 9am and a ten mile or one point five mile family fun ride starting at 10am.  Registration fees are twenty five dollars for adults and ten dollars for children.  Those who pre-register receive a free Pedal for Pets t-shirt.  All proceeds go toward the care of the great dogs and cats at CHA Animal Shelter. Those who participate are also able to set up their own personal fundraising page through Firstgiving. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for this terrific event.

“Having the trail behind CHA Animal Shelter is what inspired this event”, said Dan Stephans, Event Chairperson.  “Access to the trail allows us to keep the family fun riders safe while other riders will enjoy the wonderful trail system and a beautiful trip along Hoover Reservoir.  We are able to promote our cause of helping homeless pets in Central Ohio, while at the same time promoting bike safety and fun”.

This fun event is sponsored by PetPeople Inc., Ohio Label, John Fleshman Photography, Pet Butler and Bike Source.

CHA Animal Shelter is a 501C (3) nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio. CHA is funded solely by donations from adoption fees, donations from the public and our own fundraising efforts.

Our mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education and community outreach, and we have been doing so since 1975
